 About Us Fly me to the moon is a family business owned and operated by Steve and Trish Griffin. Steve a commercial balloon pilot, instructor and examiner has 27 years experience as a pilot. He is passionate about ballooning and has represented Australia in international ballooning competitions on numerous occasions.
In 1994, Steve was the first person to fly a balloon solo across Australia.
In 1999, he broke the Australian balloon altitude record with a flight
to 31,000 feet. In 2004 he broke the AX2 World duration record in a
balloon that he designed and built himself. In 2006 he set world records
for altitude, distance and duration in an airship that he designed and
built himself. He has held numerous other ballooning world records and
has been presented with the highest international award in ballooning - the "Montgolfier
Diploma". |
