Flight Information

We offer hot air balloon flights over Brisbane City. Take off is just after daybreak when the air is mild and still. The balloon usually travels 10-15 km during the flight. Our luxury Mercedes courtesy bus is in contact with the balloon and follows to your landing site.

Our Brisbane City flights launch close to the central business district. We meet our passengers at Toowong Park in Sylvan Road, Toowong. Complimentary pick-ups can be arranged from city accommodation.

Your flight will take you over the river allowing unparalleled views of the Brisbane City centre and surrounding suburbs. It is common for the in-flight views to extend north beyond the Glass House Mountains and south to the Border Ranges, with Moreton Bay and the islands visible to the east.

Definite flight paths cannot be predetermined as we fly in the direction of the prevailing wind. The flights are approximately one hour in duration but this may vary depending on weather conditions. Our priority is to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable flight.

We recommend that you bring your camera or video and plenty of film. Wear comfortable clothing such as jeans or trousers, a light shirt, runners and a cap. In winter, when it is a little cooler, bring a jacket or jumper that you can take off as the morning warms up.

Don't be concerned about being cold. The difference between the temperature on the ground and in the air is minimal.

After the flight we treat our guests to a five star buffet breakfast at the Sofitel Brisbane Hotel (formerly known as Sheraton). Breakfast time enhances your ballooning experience allowing you time to talk to the pilot, crew and fellow passengers about the flight and share in the wonders of ballooning.
