Steve Griffin
Pilot
Steve
has 23 years experience as a pilot including 17 years flying
balloons.
In
1994 he was the first person to fly a balloon solo and non-stop
across Australia, smashing the world altitude record for Rosiere
(temperature controlled helium) balloons.
He
currently holds 33 Australian aviation records including :

the absolute altitude for balloons (31,000 feet) and
·
the absolute duration record for all categories of aircraft (56
hours 27 minutes).
He
is the only Australian to be awarded the Federation Aeronatique
International (FAI) Gold Sporting Badge with 3 Diamonds and has
received a FAI Montgolfier Diploma for outstanding performance in
Roziere balloons.
